Summary
Referring to the recent publication and lackluster review of his play ("The Sisters"); remarking that although the reviewers have "slighted or sniffed at it as a failure" he views it as a private success because he is satisfied with its reception by his mother and aunt, two whom the play is dedicated. Hoping that she also approves of it and remarking that he "never wrote anything so autobiographical as Redgie's speech about Northumberland in the Eton midsummer holidays (pages 61-62)." Sending regards from Watts.
