Thanking her for her praise of his essay on the Cenci and wondering how she will like a longer one on Wordsworth and Byron, on which he is now working; remarking that "our dear old master" [Walter Savage Landor] would have agreed with "at least two-thirds of it." Alluding to possibly harsh reviews of her Ione Stewart; remarking that he is sure Madame Dorian would be pleased to receive a letter from her in acknowledgment of the book she recently sent through Swinburne; sending regards from Watts.
