Summary
Wishing he were worthier of the distinction conferred on him by her dedication of the novel Ione Stewart to Swinburne. Remarking that it is surely not one of her latest works, noting that "George Sand had plenty of good work before her at an age when I suppose her daughter would have been about your age." Saying that he and Watts are both well and will be travelling to the seaside in a few days.
