Summary
Thanking her for her praise of his poem Tristram of Lyonesse. Describing his present trip to Gurnsey with Watts, noting "if the climate were less murderously relaxing to the systems of northcountry folk like ourselves, I could not but set up my staff here for good." Remarking that the splendor of the surroundings only half-atones for the absence of Walter Savage Landor, who died eighteen years and four months previously. Hoping she will visit soon.
