Summary
Requesting that Christmas contact the Landseer family in Foley Street to notify them that he will be returning on Friday rather than Thursday as formerly planned and discussing his activities in the country, including his work on a painting "on an absorbent ground" of a bull belonging to his uncle and sporting activities with his gun and dog; sending love from his sister Jane, and concluding with an expression of regret at leaving the countryside while it is still only midsummer.
