Noting that he has not yet received the Pinchon book, but will show it to the people Steinbeck suggested once it arrives. Reporting that Zapata's brother died before him and that the story about his sister being a tortilla vendor is false; also reporting that the film Steinbeck mentioned does not exist either, as the negative and all the prints burned up.
