Summary
Concerning research for the film Viva Zapata! Asking him to send a particular film about the revolution and to "start somebody in the field" to collect oral histories of Zapata and the revolution. Inquiring specifically after Zapata's sister, who is said to be a tortilla vendor in the market at Cuernavaca. Also asking for information from the Government or Army records on plots to assassinate Zapata. Remarking that Kazan is "enormously excited," and hoping to bring him to Mexico after the first draft is completed in September or October.
