Regretting that she was unable to see Jane the previous day, owing to a night of ill health; remarking that her illness was probably brought on by exhaustion, noting that she has not been the same since she got amoebic dysentery in Mexico. Describing her recent busy schedule and mentioning Alan Pryce-Jones (with whom she is currently not on speaking terms). With a postscript dated "Thursday" (the 30th), thanking her for her telephone call and reassuring her that she is better.
