Asking her to lunch at the Sesame Club on the 27th, noting that Pavel, whose exhibition opens the previous day, is coming; inviting her to a musical party at the Sesame the following day; wishing that Kenneth was not in New York; enclosing an article from the Spectator, and remarking on its argument that she, along with Kafka, James, Eliot and Kierkegaard have all been displaced by the likes of Donald Davie; recalling the Times Literary Supplement article; mentioning that she has just finished her elegy for Dylan Thomas.
