Summary
Thanking him for delivering his Odes "into the Princely Royal & Imperial presences;" saying he is "going to the press with the concluding volume of the history of Brazil, which includes the whole story of the Jesuits in Paraguay;" discussing, at length, the "restoration of the Jesuits" as "one of the most extraordinary events of this fertile age;" relating his opportunity to recently witness the "Streamers (as they call the Northern Lights in this country)..... It was precisely what the Chroniclers used to describe as the march of armies in the air."
