Summary
Thanking her for the praise of her Shadow of Cain in Horizon, saying that he understood her meaning exactly. Praising his writing, especially his recent essay on Ruskin, noting "I never thought I should love Ruskin, but this lecture has made me realize the man he must have been." Discussing at length "the great Villa question" (concerning Villa's odd behavior regarding Clark's essay on Sitwell's verses), noting that Sitwell is very ashamed of how the affair played out.
