Printed t.p. reads: "Manuscript of the History of the United States: Condition of the Central Provinces. Volume 8. Chapter 42 [i.e. 45]. New York." The first manuscript page begins: "Chapter XLV: Condition of the Central Provinces. July-October, 1775."
