Summary
Returning some books on French law but remarking that Scott ought to keep the books on general history; noting that they leave for Abbotsford tomorrow, where Scott hopes to "work hard and profitably." Mentioning that Cadell is "desirous to throw of 500 or 700 of the Chronicles which is always something." Inviting him to Abbotsford and mentioning that he paid some bills.
