Declining her invitation to visit next week as it will "run so close on term that I cannot be absent...The authorities refuse to let me off a single duty, though I pleaded to being 75 years old! because they wanted me to prove that I was old and incapable!! I must not gratify them;" adding "I must see your 'boy' again in this world.--In the other he will be in the higher sphere where the likes of me cannot hope to be admitted [.]"
