Summary
Discussing the continuing legal battles with Mary Carlyle over the publication of and profits from 'Reminiscences of Jane Welsh Carlyle' in 1881; defending his actions in the entire matter and saying "She wished the domestic side of her Uncles [sic] life to be suppressed, and she knew that i did not intend to suppress it.--Her motive now is passionate resentment[.]"
