Summary
Telling him how wonderful his visit was and how much easier it is for them to express their love for him in letters than to have told him while he was there; asking him to describe the house in which he is living; saying that they received two boxes from his father, one filled with almonds and the other with raisins; wondering if "your Rosie [La Touche] will come to town--I hope she will--but I don't suppose she'll ever care for me, if she does I shall love her."
