Part of a collection consisting of 64 letters from Sir Edward and Lady Georgiana Burne-Jones primarily to John Ruskin, Joan Severn, and their circle, dated ca. 1864 to 1918. Collection also contains copies of seven letters of Lady Burne-Jones to Ruskin from 1862, and three related envelopes. Expressing her sadness that Ruskin is not improving, particularly after a "burst of hope to see his dear face look like itself and to hear him talk to you;" adding that she was happy that she [Joan Severn] was with Ruskin when "the bright gleam came."
