Miss E. DePree worked as a housekeeper and companion to Margaret Ruskin in 1819 at the time of the birth of John Ruskin.
Part of a collection of letters, many of which were written by Ruskin's grandmother to his mother and father, or by John James Ruskin, James Tweddale, and other members of the family to one another. Collection also includes the indenture of Ruskin's grandfather (MA 7791.1, dated 1776), and a pedigree of the Ruskin family compiled by W. G. Collingwood..
