Part of a collection of letters, many of which were written by Ruskin's grandmother to his mother and father, or by John James Ruskin, James Tweddale, and other members of the family to one another. Collection also includes the indenture of Ruskin's grandfather (MA 7791.1, dated 1776), and a pedigree of the Ruskin family compiled by W. G. Collingwood.. Expressing her thanks to the Lord for the news that her son is better; saying it will be a day to be remembered for her prayers have been answered and she is at peace; saying that his father is still waiting for him at Newcastle and is distressed not to have heard from Margaret; asking them to take good care of him when he arrives; telling him that his sister is worried about him.
