Notes
Margaret was visiting her sister in Croydon in July 1809 which enabled her to care for John James during a brief illness.
Part of a collection of letters, many of which were written by Ruskin's grandmother to his mother and father, or by John James Ruskin, James Tweddale, and other members of the family to one another. Collection also includes the indenture of Ruskin's grandfather (MA 7791.1, dated 1776), and a pedigree of the Ruskin family compiled by W. G. Collingwood..
