Summary
Discussing, at length, the need to thank those who contributed to the purchase of "Pass of the Splügen"; saying that she has asked Ruskin numerous times to draft a thank you and he refuses; saying it is clear that they will need to do it themselves; apologizing for "all the trouble, expense and annoyance you must have had with bothering correspondence and all we now wish is a letter (as you suggested) expressing the coz's [Ruskin] pleasure in the possession of the Splügen and his gratitude to all friends who have so kindly contributed to it; adding that if Mrs. Simon will send her the pen and ink letter, she will have it printed or fac-similed [sic] with the appropriate signatures.
