Summary
Giving a detailed account of Ruskin's physical and mental condition; saying he continues to be restless and refusing food; saying he is sorry that Dr. Simon is busy "as I fear in the case of an emergency you are the only person who could help me and the Severns;" fearing that if anyone else were called in to help they would send him to an asylum; adding "It is you who can advise generally as a friend as to arrangements that alone can give material aid if the worst comes to the worst. Help purely medical and professional I don't think we require at present;" concluding that "I have never seen the very lucid intervals his attendants describe....there's not very much mental improvement."
