Providing a detailed description of his treatment of Ruskin during "a new phase and I am sorry to say an unpleasant one in my poor patient;" discussing, at length Ruskin's refusal to eat or drink and his restlessness; Parsons details his treatment, including "chloral once last week which acted well;" concluding by saying that if things do not get any better he may need Dr. Simon to come to consult with him on "what is best to be done under the circumstances."
