Thanking him for a letter and his urgent inquiries after her health; noting that she is "in Health & spirits indeed much better than could have been expected at my advanced age;" hoping still to see him return to Scotland, but trusting that "if we do not meet here we shall in a better world to part no more;" discussing Jessie's marriage to Huxley, saying she is very happy to hear he is now a Major; sending love and keeping them in her prayers.
