Summary
Expressing his happiness on the news of Boo [Jane Faulkner]; saying he is happy that Simon met with Norton [Charles Eliot Norton]; adding "I know nothing like his perfectness of gentle sympathy: and his power (of a reserved, tranquil, judging, widely informed kind) is very great. He seems to spend every moment of life to the best purposes in the happiest way;" saying he is drawing again and "curing myself slowly of the extreme force of the bad habit of vexing myself because I'm not Correggio nor Turner."
