Summary
Saying he would have written if he had anything to write about; saying that "the days pass--I know that because one has to get into bed and out of it again--which the more I think of it and go through with it, seems to be an absurd arrangement but it must be a habit of the animals in a world that goes around;" saying he has ordered another fish to be dropped off to her at Gower Street; saying that "no one ever tells young people the preciousness of youth--that's what I wonder at, as much as at anything;" saying he will see her in June when he returns and "will show myself some day--what there is of me--at least. I mean of the me you recollect, which is not much. The other me is even a more disagreeable person than that one was and will keep itself out of people's way."
