Summary
A single sheet with six drawings by Thackeray recording a boxing match between William Abednego Thompson (i.e. "Bendigo") and Buddick of Hookam Snivvy, along with a small sketch of a landscape at upper left. Drawings include four portraits of Thompson, one labeled "Bendigo the Great" and another "The red-headed gentleman who hit with his left hand"; a sketch of "Peter Crawley Esqre", saying, "...between Bendigo & Buddick of Hookam Snivvy for 200£ a side, and may it be a good fight & may the best man win! Crowd[:] Hooray!"; and a sketch of a spectator captioned, "Reserved seats five shillings / portrait of a gentleman in the reserved seats."
