Summary
Drawing shows the arrival of English divine and hymn writer Dr. Philip Doddridge in heaven, where he stands haughtily addressing himself to the Virgin with the words "Show me to my bed-room my good woman"; the Virgin stands before him, a candle in one hand and a bed warming pan in the other, as St. Peter sits enthroned in the background with his key in his lap.
