The letter which Ruskin enclosed from Mrs. Hilliard, addressed to "My dearest Cuzzie" and dated October 25, says that she has little news but she would like to know how things are getting on at Brantwood; relating her activities at home.
Written on stationery embossed "Denmark Hill, / S.E."

Summary
Thanking him for his letter and saying he is "most happy in all measurements and plans;" enclosing a letter from Mrs. Hilliard that he thinks he will enjoy; saying he has "cut off a little bit from the bottom, sadder than it had any need to be." The bottom half of the stationery has been cut but no text appears to be lost.
