Asking him to help him understand the technique of silverpoint; saying that as he loves Raphael so well, he is the proper authority; referring to "that drawing of the Sappho in the Brit. [sic] Museum for instance--what paper also is used for silverpoint--when did black lead come into use instead?" telling him that "they seem to like the lectures at Oxford."
