Enclosing the reply to his letter to Mr. Valpy, a friend of Mr. Palmer, regarding the Blake portraits; recommending that he also write to Mr. Palmer himself to authorize the transmission of the portraits through Valpy; indicating that he will ask Valpy to suggest that Palmer show them to Linnell as well; mentioning the work of James Smetham, which he considers to be similar to that of Blake, and indicating that he has a number of them he's been unable to sell, should he be interested.
