Summary
Critiquing the inclusion some of the poems in Allingham's Nightingale Valley, listing those that he doubts should be considered among the "Choicest English Poems." Further commenting that "there's too much Wordsworth," noting that "He's good, you know, but unbearable." Pointing out two lines were omitted from Ulalume. Concluding by praising the preface and his poem Mea Culpa.
