Summary
Reporting the death of his father, stating "He had not, I think, felt much pain this day or two, but it has been a wearisome, protracted state of dull suffering, from which we cannot but feel in some sort happy at seeing him released" With a postscript asking Allingham to give the news to Mrs. Howitt, and a further postscript reminding him of his promise to write a letter of introduction to Routledge for his cousin Teodorico Rossetti.
