Supposing that Allingham has "gone to bask in the Southon ray" and mentioning that he will not follow because he feels "very sick" and "moreover lunched late today with Ruskin." Reporting that they "read half the Day & Night Songs together," and that Rossetti gave him a book, with which Ruskin "was most delighted and said some of it was heavenly." Mentioning Miss S[iddal], Bessie P[arkes], Anna Mary [Howitt] and Barbara S[mith]; suggesting that he and Allingham go to the Hermitage together.
