Recalling a "hilarious evening we had recently" involving Henry Festing Jones, Manny Forbes, and the reading aloud of Daisy Ashford's "Young Visiters"; describing his friend A. T. Bartholomew and early evening bike rides; expressing his delight at having been invited to lunch with Sir William Osler, Charles Sayle, and F. J. H. Jenkinson, and describing a walk they took during which Jenkinson fell behind collecting bits of foil to "[help] the war effort"; describing a lecture series given by Sir Arthur Quiller-Couch at Jesus College and mentioning that A. E. Housman was in the audience recently; mentioning having had dinner with Capt. S. C. Roberts; discussing his sailing adventures; recalling having met a Dr. Bull who was an expert on sheep ticks.
