Summary
Genlis takes Lady Juliana Penn lightly to task for visiting France without coming to see her, adding that she will find it hard not to bear a grudge. She tells Penn that her brother has now returned from England, & was cross at not being able to pay his respects to her, but she hopes he was able to send her the long letter that she had entrusted to his care (which "contained a faithful expression of all my feelings for you"). Genlis offers to fulfil any commissions that she may have in France; and concludes, "Your conversation, so sound & so amiable, your charming candour and the indulgence & friendship that you have been happy to show me, have attached [me to you] for life."
