Summary
Discussing Stoddart's lovers and plans, stating that "the terms you are upon with your Lover ... apper wondrous strange to me," but noting that "as I cannot enter into your feelings, I certainly can have nothing to say to it, onlyt hat I sincerely wish you happy in your own way, however odd that way may appear to me to be." Discussing Stoddart's relationship with her new sister-in-law (Isabella Moncrieff), talking at length about her mother's difficult relationship with her aunt in order to illuminate Stoddart's own situation. Mentioning that her mother (whom she killed) "is always in my poor head and heart." Advising Stoddart to be as open and honest with her sister-in-law as possible.
