Summary
Thanking Maupertuis and his wife for their hospitality during his stay in Berlin. Describing an injury and offering excuses for his failure to personally deliver some of Maupertuis's works to King William IV of Holland. Enclosing (not present) a paper giving the solution to one of Cardanus's algebraic problems, hoping that Leonhard Euler will comment on it. Witha postscript mentioning a work of Count Algarotti, which he was also sending to King William IV.
