Summary
Thanking him for a letter and noting that she is very glad to hear that he can walk about again. Discussing her stay in Windermere, mentioning a family of pigs and other animals. Recounting a ferry trip across the lake to visit Cousin Edith and her son. Mentioning that her rabbit has grown fat and that she takes him for walks "with a collar for fear he should run away." Illustrated with sketches of animals, a sailboat and bridge, a ferry boat crossing the lake, a frightened donkey, and Potter walking her rabbit.
