Summary
Regretting to hear that Noel is ill, noting that he must be like "this little mouse" and giving a sketch of a bedridden mouse, a Dr. Mole and a Nurse Mouse. Hoping that "the little mouse will soon be able to sit up in a chair by the fire," and giving an accompanying sketch. Recounting her recent trip to the zoo, describing a recently arrived young giraffe, a monkey called Jenny, an elephant, ostriches, "a black bear rolling on its back," and mentioning that she "did not know that the old wolf was so good tempered." Illustrating the letter with many additional sketches of zoo animals.
