Summary
Looking forward to his visit, but noting that he has no beds. Discussing Parker's offer to publish Hypatia and detailing his negotiations with Chapman and Hall. Mentioning that he would prefer to publish Hypatia serially, stating "I should get passing criticisms on the plot, [which] would help me to weave it better & better as I went on." Acknowledging the financial benefit to serial publication as well, noting "that it [would] be better in a pecuniary point of view is self evident."
