Describing her attempt to call with her sister on "him" (Lafcadio Hearn), noting that he refused to see them. Stating that she can "bear it no longer to feel the disgrace of caring for one who despises me." Threatening suicide, stating: "If you can do nothing about it in a few days I will kill myself having nothing on earth to live for. Oh do help me or I will take my life, and try another world, for Gods sake do something about it."
