Collection of photographs and ephemera related to the history of nursing, early 20th cent.

Contents of the collection include 1 autograph menu from "XMAS 1918 No. 6 Genl Hospl Rouen", with ten signatures in pencil on reverse (MA 7638.1); 1 postcard of "The Home of Florence Nightingale", with five signature on reverse in ink (MA 7638.2); 1 postcard of unidentified Red Cross nurse (MA 7638.3); 1 print of "Town of Dianant upon the Muse" by T. Allom and M.J. Starling (MA 7638.4); and 14 photographs (MA 7638.5-18). The photographs include one of Mayor F. H. LaGuardia "signing a proclamation urging registered nurses to enroll in the First Reserve of the Red Cross for service with the United States Army and Navy"; a "red Cross nurse after an air raid during the first World War" in London, England; the "funeral of Nurse Cavill"; "wounded American soldiers of the U.S. Seventh Army" in "the U.S. 10th Field Hospital. Granovillers, France. 11/8/44"; nurses in "153rd Station Hospital, Port Moresby, New Guinea 1/3/43"; "French nurses, 1914"; and "Nurses of the United States Army in the European Theatre of Operations giving salute to their Chief."
