Acknowledging that she and Louis received the letters he sent them for New Year's; informing him that Louis is busy and will reply at the soonest opportunity; telling him that she appreciates receiving news about the Pope [Pius IX] and wishes his Holiness good health; recommending to him the bearer of this letter who comes from the Maison des Loges.
