Summary
Giving the verses of "Dainty Davie," noting that the verses are based on one of Burns's contributions to Johnson Scots Musical Museum, and have been improved upon here. With a postscript criticizing the formatting of the tune in Johnson's work, noting that they have "drawled out the tune to ... twelve lines of poetry which is d--'d nonsense -- Four lines of Song, & four of Chorus, that is the way."
