Summary
Apologizing for his lengthy silence, intending to find his letter from among his "mass of papers" and send him the manuscript volumes asked for therein. Asking whether he has received a copy of Dowson's Verses, "a very dainty white book which should have been sent to [him]." Hoping to see Moore in France that summer, mentioning other intended visitors, and praising Pont-Aven and the people there. Noting that Lord Alfred Douglas has been persuaded not to publish his poems, "which is vastly better both for his own sake & Oscar's, if that poor victim of English hypocricy [sic] ever lives through his torture." Asking whether Moore has seen Wilde, noting "I should like to come across him again, however & see his trousers." Relating that Missie (Adelaide Fotinowicz) is well and that they are trying to sell Poland. Asking Moore to visit them, noting "I have broken my heart over her, but she remains, none the less, my soul interest in life."
