Relating that he has been ill, and apologizing for the delay in his response to Moore's letter. Thanking him for a loan of £2, endeavoring to "liquidate the debt at the earliest possible moment." Discussing the controversy over an Aubrey Beardsley drawing for the cover of a prospectus (see MA 1625.160), criticizing Edgar Jepson's role. Intending to send his recent work on their collaborative novel, "Adrian Rome," to Moore in installments, and mentioning Verlaine's death.
