This gathering was probably the first meeting of the reconstituted Rhymers' Club. Begun as a gathering of Irishmen living in London, it was now reorganized on a broader basis and met regularly during the next three years.--Cf. Flower, p. 181, n. 2.

Asking Moore to dine with him in Poland the following day, mentioning that he is busy later that evening when he must "meet Oscar [Wilde] & a select assembly at Horne's," and that he is engaged to be at the Heresiarch's (i.e., Rev. Stewart Hedlam) on Sunday.
