Enclosing (not present) a letter from the publisher Routledge rejecting the manuscript of their collaborative work "The Passion of Dr. Ludovicus." Exclaiming against Routledge, and and stating "I feel like a protoplasm in the embryo of a troglydyte. If you see a second hand, roomy coffin, fairly cheap will yu please purchase the same & have it sent down here."
