Yeats thanks Sullivan for his part in giving Yeats a copy of the Kelmscott Chaucer: "I have not had time to write and thank you for your share in giving me the Chaucer -- all my work has been in arrears & I am getting out collected editions on both sides of the water. Chaucer with the Morris Burne Jones decorations is I think the most beautiful of all books -- a mirror of health & simple joy. I have not read Chaucer since I was a boy & I had just got to him in my reading when this book came."
